Adapted yoga asanas will be used to help maintain range of motion, balance, strength and flexibility, and reduce inflammation. Feel free to choose to practice from a chair, the couch, or the bed!
What to Expect
How to register
You can book a class by clicking on the Book Now tab on this website. Select a yoga class and you will be directed to pay online to reserve your spot. You will receive a receipt and booking confirmation email. On the selected date & time, join in-person or virtually by using the zoom link sent to your email after payment. Set up a zoom account if you don't have one already. Don't worry a basic zoom plan is free!
How to prepare for class
Wear something comfy, but not too loose. Yoga can be practiced without expensive exercise clothing. When practicing online, we suggest that you have a designated practice space within your home ready to go. Ensure that you have a clear view of your device (smartphones are not recommended as the screens are too small.) Have your props handy (armless chair, blankets, pillows, scarf, a couple of large/thick books.)
Please come to class a few minutes early
Before class begins, we'll aim to troubleshoot any issues (weather or tech.) Get familiar with the zoom space. If you plan to join online, know where to find the chat, the close captions settings, volume and view controls. Test your microphone, check the camera angle and height. Make sure your hands and feet are in frame while standing & sitting on the mat.
We'll begin with a brief welcome conversation
Meaningful connection is fostered by deep non-judgmental listening and sharing from the heart. The start of class is reserved for open communication. This will be an opportunity to share how you're feeling or if there is something in particular you would like to work on/towards.
We're invested in supporting you in your self-realization. Every class offers asana variations, and all introduced practices are kept optional. Feel safe and empowered to choose to opt-in or out-of a pose at anytime based on what feels right for you and your body in the present moment.
